Answers & Tips, Jul 23, 2008, 03:54 PM Reviewer: Matt Griffin
Here are some quick answers and tips.
1. This fan does NOT fit the newer 360s because of clearance issues with the new add on heat sink. Find out if your console has the new heat sink by going to Google and asking “how do I know if my 360 has the new heat sink?” (links are not aloud in reviews)
2. The screen in the back round does NOT come with this kit it is apart of a different kit (High Speed Air Cooler for Xbox 360 ($49.95))
3. a lot has been said-good & bad-about the towel trick for the 360. DO NOT DO THE TOWL TRICK yes, it can "fix" your 360 BUT it fixes it by causing more damage to the motherboard because it partially fries all the circuits. THIS TRICK CAN MAKE YOUR 360 UNREPARIBLE. If you want to get it fixed there are companies who will fix it EVEN IF you have modified it, have opened it, or do not have a warranty on it. They also will do it for less then Microsoft.
4. If you do not have a warranty do not be afraid to customize your 360 and post pictures of it for every one to see. (Unless you do not know much about electronics)
So if you really want the lowest possible temps them this fan is worth greatly considering. And remember if you are going to do anything to make the inside look cool be sure to get the ghost case too.
NOTE: type reviews in 'Microsoft Word' and spell check it THEN copy and paste it here.
I hope this helps and answers some of your questions.

put a whole in it, Sep 3, 2007, 08:01 AM Reviewer: matt griffin
This is a good way of acheiving cooler temps. But its potential is very limited. The fan is basically circulating the hot air in the system around the CPUs. If there where to be a whole in the side (or top depending on how the system sits) of the systems case above the fan then it could get cooler air. That would create much tempatures.
