... thats what you are.
Metal (Aluminum especially) is a great heat dissipator. Heatsinks in EVERY electronic you own are made of aluminum, and if its a shitty piece of equipment, the heatsinks will be made out of copper.
YOU get 1 star.

Bought and Installed, Jan 15, 2008, 05:00 PM Reviewer: MrOzio
Worked great, have a custom top port for an LCD heat mon. and its reporting temps up to 10deg cooler than with the standard abs lid. My only beef is that it shows finger prints and dust 100 times more than the standard black... didn't think that was possible.

you are all wrong because of the light colour of the plate it reflexs the light better keeping the ps3 from overheating in which you can game longer:)

What ?, May 21, 2007, 02:34 PM Reviewer: Mis Informed
Firstly, This cover look to be made of Aluminium, Aluminium does dissipate heat faster than Plastic, and secondly, I would assume with the millions of dollars SONY spent designing the PS3 that heat build up would not be a problem irrespective of what cover you have fitted, considering your average user is going to stuff it in front of their TV on the carpet, If you want to put this cover on , why not, if it makes the unit look more customised then do it, BigNa$ty you dont have a clue, and dont think it's just wrong

i dont think its a good product, Feb 22, 2007, 08:53 AM Reviewer: BigNa$ty
i looks like this product is made of some kinda metal....i think that would hold heat in the console resulting in damage to the system. DONT FIX SOMETHING IF ITS NOT BROKE...thats just my opinion
